CYMA was founded in 1862 by brothers Joseph and Theodore Schwob in the Jura Mountains of Switzerland. They later partnered with Frederic Henri Sandoz to become one of Europe's largest watch and clock makers in Europe. They were ahead of their time, with major innovations such as shock-resistant movements.
This sweet travel alarm clock was made exactly a century later, and retailed by Dunklings Jewellers of Melbourne. It has a brass casing, steel back, and green banded detailing. The dial features numerals at 3, 6, 9, and 12, with markers for the other hours. The clock has been engraved with service details and the watchmaker initials 'GS" in 1969 and 1971, and comes with its original box and Warranty Certificate dated 1962.
The clock is in good vintage condition, with small markings to the hands, and general signs of wear consistent with age and use. It's been working well prior to cataloguing, and features a regulator to adjust the speed.
Please note dimensions carefully as it is often difficult to judge sizes accurately from photographs. Size and weight are factored into shipping costs.
Note: All our items are vintage or pre-owned, so some signs of wear should be expected. Please read the description, view photos carefully, and feel free to ask any questions prior to purchase. We will always endeavour to note any imperfections, but the absence of this information does not guarantee that this item is free from defect.
