Paul Huber Lidded Vessel, “Waterfall” Form, Bath Pottery, 1960s–70s, Ex‑Wren Collection

$240.00

A sculptural Paul Huber studio pottery lidded vessel, carved in his distinctive waterfall / rock‑face form, with stepped planes, fissured surfaces and contrasting tones that evoke eroded stone and flowing water. Compact yet visually powerful, this is a superb example of Huber’s Bath‑period work.

The piece carries his PH maker’s mark to the lower left side and dates to the 1960s–1970s, when Huber was producing some of his most architectural forms.

Provenance: This vessel comes from the Oxshott Pottery and Wren family collection, including works held by:

* Denise Wren (Australian/British, 1891–1979)

* Henry Wren (1884–1947)

* Rosemary D. Wren (1922–2013)

* Peter Crotty

The Wrens were foundational figures in 20th‑century British studio pottery, and Oxshott Pottery is one of the most historically significant craft studios of the period. Provenance from this lineage materially strengthens the piece’s cultural and collector value.
