Reg Preston Studio Pottery Vase, Tenmoku, c1980s

$950.00

A striking large slab built vase by celebrated Australian studio potter Reg Preston, dating to the 1980s. Standing an impressive 45 cm tall, this sculptural form features Preston’s signature applied abstract panel, with layered earthy tones and expressive painterly movement set against a rich Tenmoku style iron glaze.

The body is in excellent condition, showing the strong presence and craftsmanship characteristic of Preston’s later work. The vase presents powerfully and remains a standout example of Preston’s modernist ceramic style.

Condition note: There are chips to the rim of the base, which are not visible when the piece is standing and do not affect display. Please see the images.
