Whitefriars ZigZag Vase by Geoffrey Baxter, Tangerine, c1972, 15cm
A striking ZigZag vase designed by Geoffrey Baxter for Whitefriars Glass, England, in the early 1970s. This example is in vibrant Tangerine and retains its original Whitefriars label. The ZigZag form, model #9761, is one of Baxter’s most sculptural designs, showcasing bold ridges and a clear base.
Whitefriars Glass was one of Britain’s most influential glassmakers, producing innovative modern designs from its London studio until its closure in 1980. Geoffrey Baxter’s sculptural forms, including the ZigZag vase, helped define the studio’s bold 1970s aesthetic.
This piece is in mostly excellent condition, however there is a small crack on one of the zigzag points (see images). It remains structurally sound and visually impressive, ideal for display or styling, and has been priced accordingly.
Please note dimensions carefully as it can be difficult to judge size by the images.
All our items are vintage or pre-owned, so signs of wear should be expected. Please read the description, view photos carefully, and feel free to ask any questions prior to purchase.
